Hello!
Just a friendly reminder about this week’s Dollar Creek Crossing meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Fairway Community Center- Lakeview Room, located at 330 Fairway Drive, Tahoe City. If you cannot attend the meeting, we will be live streaming as well as posting the video online. You can access the live stream here: http://placer.granicus.com/player/event/1002?view_id=15
The meeting will include an update on where we are in the process, a presentation on new draft site plan scenarios and a public comment/Q&A session. In order to ensure that everyone has relevant information heading into the meeting we put together a FAQ to address comments and questions we have received this past year. You can find this FAQ here: https://www.placer.ca.gov/6319/Frequently-Asked-Questions
While Placer County purchased the approximately 11-acre Nahas property near Tahoe City in October 2019, development concepts for the site are still in early stages and no project proposal has been brought forward for formal consideration or approval.
In 2018, Placer County released a request for proposals that asked development teams to respond with proposals for a housing development at this property site. Placer County received four proposals and chose to move forward with the highest ranked development team, Related CA/ Pacific. This development team, along with the county, has held multiple public meetings since August 2018 to solicit feedback on a preliminary development concept. Information on the previous meetings can be found here: https://www.placer.ca.gov/5972/Public-Meetings
The additional development options for the site will be refined into one preferred project description that will be submitted to Placer County and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency to go through the public environmental review and permitting process where additional community feedback can be received.
***As always we are doing our best to make sure that as many people as possible are aware of the meeting, but we ask you to please share this information with your friends, family and neighbors so we can ensure everyone has all the information and has the opportunity to provide their feedback. Thank you in advance for your help!***
Sincerely,
