NORTECH WASTE IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A

WELDER FABRICATOR MECHANIC

 

Job Summary

The Welder Fabricator Mechanic is responsible for installing, dismantling, or equipment according to equipment specifications.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Must locate the source(s) of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
    • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools; levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
    • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
    • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with Company procedures, rule and safety regulations
  • Must maintain a current California Driver’s License
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Additional training regarding maintenance and repair of industrial equipment at a vocational school or community college
  • At least 3 years of welding experience

 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Good listening skills
    • Skills in both verbal and written communication
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the mechanical repair trade
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Ability to weld both Mig And ArcThis is a full time position for the swing shift.We offer the following benefits:
