New Placer CEO, workforce housing in North Lake Tahoe on agenda for Jan. 9 Supervisors meeting

On the agenda for the first Placer County Board of Supervisors meeting of 2018 is the appointment of a new county executive officer. The board will also consider support for a new, 56-unit workforce housing development in North Lake Tahoe. Can't make it in person? Placer County’s 2018 homeless point-in-time count set for Jan. 25

The Homeless Resource Council of the Sierras, a collaborative group of agencies and nonprofit organizations from Placer and Nevada counties, has announced that Placer County’s annual point-in-time count of homeless individuals will take place Jan. 25. Learn more


Mia’s journey: Adoption from foster care

Three-year-old Mia’s adoption was finalized in December. It was the culmination of a journey that started many years ago when Tasha and Aaron Lockhart of Roseville decided to become foster parents. Life is pretty good when you get to read books for free, and it's even better when our library comes to you via Placer County's Bookmobile. The Placer County Library has released the January - May 2018 Bookmobile schedule, so take a look to see when it will make a stop near you. See the new schedule
