Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

• Assure Food Safety. Report Food Safety violations.
• Show up to work on time and dressed appropriately.
• Transfer, via forklift, green coffee from the inventory area to the roasting/dumping area. Help keep the green coffee area organized and clean.
• Must have the ability to lift heavy items.
• Stack and tie down green coffee sacks for disposal.
• Maintain an ongoing fire watch while the roaster(s) is (are) in operation.
• Keep Dumping Area clean.
• Execute instructions or special assignments given by Production Supervisor.
• Requires safe forklift operation.
• Work in a safe manner, following all safety rules and manufacturing/company procedures.
• Ability to problem solve; effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to work overtime and weekends

Education/ Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Good math skills, computer skills
• Good interpretive and/or reactive skills
• Must have manufacturing environment experience

Physical demand/ work environment and safety responsibilities

Slip, trip, and fall hazards, machine pinch points, hot surfaces, head bump hazards, compressed air, fire hazards, automatic equipment, forklifts, sharp objects, lifting heavy objects. See attached form for the physical demands and work environment for the position

Safety Responsibilities:

• Lock-out/Tag Out Procedure
• Confined Space
• Cold Jet Operation
• Practice safe and efficient work techniques to minimize potential injuries and hazardous conditions.
• Participate in safety meetings and inspections.
• Ensure that material areas are kept neat and orderly.
• Maintain acceptable levels of housekeeping at all times with regard to equipment and assigned work area and/or department.

• Forklift Operator: 1 year
• Manufacturing: 1 year
