Palo Alto is developing a 2020 Sustainability and Climate Action Plan (S/CAP) to help the City meet its sustainability goals, including its goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2030.

We originally scheduled an in-person 2020 Sustainability and Climate Action Plan Community Workshop for Tuesday, March 31. We’ve re-configured the workshop to an on-line event, and we appreciate your flexibility as we navigate the new normal of sheltering in place. We hope you are staying healthy and weathering through these difficult times as well as possible.

For your viewing convenience, we have split this community workshop webinar into 8 parts, so that you can view each part when you have time, and you will be able to provide feedback during the webinars. Part One of the community workshop webinar provides an overview of the 2020 Sustainability and Climate Action Plan background and process, and we recommend that you start there first. It's about 17 minutes long. The remaining seven parts will focus on each of the seven proposed Sustainability and Climate Action Plan Issue areas, and are each about 8 minutes long. You’ll also have the flexibility of watching each part of the webinar at your convenience, and as many times as you would like until April 14. Here are the registration links for the 2020 Sustainability and Climate Action Plan Community Workshop.

If you are unable to join, but would like to share your input, please send all feedback on the potential Goals and Key Actions as well as input on what other Goals and Key Actions need to be added to sustainability@cityofpaloalto.org.
