2020 Sustainability and Climate Action Plan Community Workshop #1

Location: Mitchell Park Community Center, El Palo Alto Room

The City of Palo Alto is developing a 2020 Sustainability and Climate Action Plan (S/CAP) to help the City meet its sustainability goals, including its goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2030. The City seeks public input on the 2020 S/CAP Priorities, Goals, and Key Actions.

Accomplishments to-date include:

- Reduced GHG emissions an estimated 56.5% from 1990 levels
- Adopted new all-electric building requirements
- Approved Deconstruction and Foodware Reduction Ordinances
- Adopted a Green Stormwater Infrastructure Plan
- Adopted a Sea Level Rise Adaptation Policy
