EV Driving on Road

Join the Discussion of How Palo Alto is Providing Incentives and Rebates for Residents to Own & Drive Electric Vehicles

Wednesday, September 4th

Starts at 7pm

Palo Alto City Hall Council Chambers at 250 Hamilton Ave, Palo Alto

On Wednesday Sept 4th at 7pm, Palo Alto staff will be presenting a portfolio of Electric Vehicle (EV) programs to the Utilities Advisory Commission (UAC) and to the community at a public meeting. These programs are expected be funded with $8.5 million in state funds over the next 3 years. The report which will be the basis for discussion is available here.

With an estimated 4,000 electric vehicles registered in Palo Alto and a similar number of daily commute vehicles, Palo Alto is a leader in EV adoption. These EV programs are designed to encourage further adoption of EVs and help meet the Palo Alto community’s greenhouse gas reduction goal of 80% below 1990 levels by 2030.

This is an opportunity for you, as a Palo Alto community member, to share your input on EV programs and incentives for single-family and multi-family residences, businesses, schools and organizations. Come engage with the City and provide input on the proposed set of programs. If you are unable to attend this meeting, you can send input to or call 650-329-2241.
