We’re excited to introduce Ava SmartHome Charging, our new EV and PHEV managed charging program designed to help you save on your energy bill and increase renewable energy usage by shifting your electric vehicle charging to off-peak hours.
The program is offered in partnership with Optiwatt, a trusted leader in managed charging technology.
Ava customers who charge their EVs and PHEVs at home can enroll and earn up to $75 per EV in one-time rewards and $25 annually, in addition to electricity bill savings. Using Optiwatt’s intelligent charging algorithm, the program automatically optimizes your charging schedule to ensure your vehicle is ready when you need it, while taking advantage of low-cost, clean energy times.

In April, all residential customers and qualifying small businesses will see a $58.23 “California Climate Credit” on their PG&E bill.
This credit comes from California’s cap-and-trade program, which requires power plants, natural gas distributors, and other large greenhouse gas emitters to buy carbon pollution permits. Every eligible customer receives the same amount regardless of energy usage or provider, and the credit is automatically applied to your bill once every Spring and Fall.
