Happy holidays from Ava! This holiday season, we're giving $16 million back to Ava customers, and we just awarded our latest batch of community sponsorships to local organizations. Keep reading to learn more.

Ava is giving back $16 million back to the community in the form of customer bill credits. The customer credits fall into two main categories:
- In late November, every household on an income-qualifying rate under the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) or Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) programs automatically received a one-time $50 bill credit. With about 115,000 qualifying accounts, that amounts to approximately $6 million back in customer’s wallets.
- Starting in December and continuing on a rolling basis (the exact credit date is dependent on an individual customer’s bill cycle), all Ava residential customers (including customers on CARE or FERA) will receive a $7.74 bill credit. Ava commercial customers will receive a volumetric credit based on their electricity usage. These credits total $10.5 million across all customers.

Ava awards community sponsorships three times per year. The maximum award is $2,500, and approximately 12 recipients are chosen each round.
