Last month we published a story on our Board of Directors. Updates to that story are below.
Former Hayward City Councilmember Elisa Márquez has been named to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Márquez remains the Chair of EBCE’s Board of Directors and is now the Director representing Alameda County. Alameda County’s Alternate Director is Lena Tam.
The City of Hayward’s new Board Director is City Councilmember Julie Roche (previously Hayward’s Alternate Director). The Alternate Director for the City of Stockton will be announced in the future.

This past week EBCE staff joined the Oakland Roots Sports Club and the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation at Bill Patterson Park to celebrate Earth Month.
Together, we planted trees that will help filter freeway emissions and urban pollution and increase green space in East Oakland.
