Raise your hand if you are looking forward to closing out 2020! At EBCE, we're already busy working on 2021. We'll be expanding our service into Newark, Pleasanton, and Tracy. We'll have ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new wind and solar facilities that will go online to serve our customers. We'll be signing new contracts to build more local clean power projects. We have new programs in the works. Customers will switch to Time-of-Use rates to further reduce emissions. And we'll be reporting about it here in the monthly newsletter. Here's to good things in 2021! |

EBCE Awards Local Community Sponsorship Grants
One way that East Bay Community Energy reinvests in our communities is through a series of ongoing financial sponsorships and grants to local programs. Community Sponsorships are awarded three times per year. The maximum award amount is $2,500 per organization per award round, and EBCE funds approximately 12 recipients per round. EBCE selected the latest round of recipients this month, and they include: We Love Pi, Valley Humane Society, Food Shift, Quest Science Center, and Peoples Conservatory. For more information, visit: ebce.org/community-sponsorships/.
Know a local group that could use a sponsorship? Forward this newsletter to them and encourage them to apply here. The next application deadline is March 31, 2021.

Watch and share our funny, informative DIY videos
Did you know that Fraud Awareness Week was last month? No, we're not trying to trick you, that's for real! We are aware of scammers representing themselves as being with PG&E, and either calling or knocking on doors trying to coax personal information from unsuspecting residents. Don't fall for it! Never give out personal information to someone you don't know who comes to your door or calls you.
EBCE's Jamal Bernardez prepared these short, funny videos to keep you in the know about scammers. Click on the image above and below to view.
