OC Gun Buyback Results |
We successfully collected 239 firearms and 23 assault weapons at our fourth Anonymous Gun Buyback event in Buena Park led by the Buena Park Police Department, with the support of other local law enforcement agencies. Including the results from the previous two- gun buybacks held, we have been able to collect 1,294 firearms including 99 assault weapons. In addition, 66 gun locks were distributed through the OC Free Gun Lock program.
Thank you to everyone who participated and to all our partners, Buena Park Police Department, Brea Police Department, Fullerton Police Department, Placentia Police Department, Orange Police Department, La Habra Police Department, Fountain Valley Police Department, and Orange County Bomb Squad who provided staffing and supported the Gun Buyback. Together, we are building a safer, stronger community.

Celebrating Families event |
We are proud to share that we sponsored the recent Celebrating Families event, in partnership with the Orange County Social Services Agency. A big thank you to the Fullerton Free Church for providing the venue for the event.
It was a beautiful and meaningful event, which honored the reunification of families within the foster care system and recognized the vital role SSA social workers play in helping parents and children reunite. It was truly moving to hear the powerful stories of resilience and hope shared by families.
Thank you to the Social Services Agency’s Children and Family Services department, for your dedication to supporting families on their journey toward stability and self-sufficiency.

Orange County Employee Association Health Fair |
I enjoyed attending the Orange County Employees Association (OCEA) Health Fair.
It was wonderful to see OCEA members exploring the many resources offered by the vendors at the fair. My office was able to provide attendees with upcoming information on community events and offer special giveaway items.
Thank you to OCEA for hosting such a fun event and inviting my office to connect with our spectacular employees!

OCTA Roadeo |
I attended the annual OCTA Bus Roadeo at the Santa Ana Bus Base! This friendly competition brings together OCTA’s talented team members from Operators, Maintenance, and Administrative divisions to showcase their driving expertise, safety practices, and precision behind the wheel.
I had the unique opportunity to hop in the driver’s seat and navigate the course experiencing firsthand the incredible skill and focus it takes to safely operate a 40-foot bus through tight turns and obstacles.
Thank you to OCTA’s dedicated operators, mechanics, and staff for keeping Orange County moving safely and efficiently every day. Your hard work and professionalism make a lasting impact on our communities.

Tri-City Walking Path Renovations |
I recently joined Office Ambassador Paulette Chaffee and my Chief of staff Al Jabbar along with OC Parks staff at Tri-City Park to walk their revitalized trail.
When a flooding issue emerged along the park’s walking path, the OC Parks team took this challenge as an opportunity to improve the park experience for the community. After receiving extremely high contractor quotes to clear and repair the severely clogged drainage system, the team decided to take matters into their own hands. They completed the drainage and trail improvements ahead of schedule and at a fraction of the quoted cost.
I recently had the opportunity to see the completed project firsthand and am proud to say that they truly delivered high-quality work. The Tri-City Regional Park’s walking path is now more reliable, resilient, and ready to handle the storm season.
Thank you to the OC Parks crew from both Craig Regional Park and Tri-City Regional Park, for your commitment, your craftsmanship, and your continued dedication to making our parks the best they can be.

Angel's First Pitch |
I recently had the pleasure of throwing the Honorary First Pitch at Angels Stadium.
While I might not throw as fast or as hard as Luke Murphy, it was a fun moment to throw a pitch to him.

HCA Mental Health Panel at Angel's Stadium |
I joined the OC Health Care Agency and Angel's Baseball for a Mental Health Panel.
HCA Director, Dr. Veronica Kelley, and Angels players, Ben Joyce and Kyren Paris, advocated for the importance of asking for support when experiencing mental health struggles. It was a great event to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in sports and for men. We are very fortunate to have Angels Baseball as one of our health care partners!
Hopefully through the conversations with the players, more fans will prioritize their mental health. Thank you to the Angels players and Dr. Kelley for speaking about such an important topic!

Meet Holly! |

.jpg)
Holly is a 5-year-old husky who loves making the most of every moment. She has a contagious playful personality that makes every adventure a little more fun! She's not afraid to show her silly side and she would love a forever family that can give her plenty of playtime, attention, and love.
Holly knows basic commands, loves doing zoomies, and splashing in the pool. She would make a wonderful companion for an active family. Does that sound like you? Call OC Animal Care at (714) 935-6848 to schedule a visit with Holly (A1963429) or visit her during viewing hours between 11am-5pm and find out if she's the dog you're looking for!
