Orange County Auditor Controller, Andrew Hamilton, announced the launch of a new, user- friendly website designed to help Orange County residents search for and claim their share of more than $700 million available in unclaimed property held by the state.
Unclaimed property can include forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, insurance proceeds, and even the contents of safe deposit boxes. While the State of California currently holds over $14 billion in unclaimed property, nearly $700 million of that belongs to individuals, families, and businesses right here in Orange County and finding out is fast, free, and secure.
Visit OCUnclaimed.gov to search your name today! If you legally changed your name, remember to search your previous name too. If you've lived in other parts of California, go directly to the State Controller's at Sco.ca.gov and see if you have any unclaimed property waiting for you.

Sincerely, Doug Chaffee Chair, Orange County Board of Supervisors Supervisor, Fourth District
