Community Health Ambassador Program Press Conference |
 |
|
Last week, we launched our newest partnership with Cal State Fullerton, the Community Health Ambassador Program (CHAP).
Through the use of $450,000 from my 4th District discretionary fund, we have launched this new initiative to strengthen our public health system and also support the training of the next generation of public health leaders.
The pilot program will focus on the City of Stanton to develop a model to promote and support improved health outcomes. Students enrolled in the CSUF Master of Public Health program will design, implement, and evaluate targeted interventions to reduce health disparities and establish a sustainable model to improve community health.
Thank you to CSUF for partnering with us on this new program. Congratulations to the incoming master of public health students on partaking in this new and exciting program.

I had a blast at Craig Regional Park for one of their concert in the park series.
Audience members got to listen and dance to Katie Ferrara and the Pistol Blondes. It was a great night to enjoy country music.
Thank you to OC Parks staff for a great concert. For additional details about the full Summer Concert Series lineup and other OC Parks programs, visit OCParks.com

Fullerton Vigil |
 |
I attended the “Fullerton is Our Home Vigil”.
Community members, faith leaders, and advocates gathered together to create a healing space for families impacted by the recent immigration enforcement.
Together, we can overcome the pain and grief that our community has suffered in these recent weeks.

National Night Out |
 |
|
My staff attended the City of Placentia and City of Buena Park National Night Out.
They met with local first responders, enjoyed live demonstrations, and learned about the outstanding service of Orange County's finest and bravest. We were happy to see community members learn about local public safety efforts, including our OC Free Gun Locks Program. We were happy to provide gun locks to approximately 20 households at the Buena Park event.
Thank you to the City of Buena Park and City of Placentia for hosting these great events.
