Honoring 50 Years of the Vietnamese American Journey
Dear Neighbor,
I’m thrilled to invite you and your family to 50 Years of the Vietnamese American Journey: A Cultural Heritage Festival, happening August 15th through 17th at Freedom Hall in Mile Square Park!
It’s a proud celebration of culture, identity, and perseverance, commemorating 50 years since the arrival of Vietnamese refugees following the Vietnam War. The theme is Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Empowering the Future. Orange County has the largest concentration of Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam itself, and this will be an important event honoring them.
This free event is a celebration of our culture, community, and the incredible diversity that makes Orange County so special. You’ll enjoy live performances, authentic food, and a full carnival with rides and entertainment for the whole family.
Dates and times:
- August 15: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- August 16: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- August 17: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Freedom Hall, Mile Square Park (Fountain Valley)
This is more than a festival. It’s a tribute to our storied history and shared future in this America. I hope you’ll join me as we come together to honor the past, celebrate the present, and empower the future.
