Future Leaders Program Overview |
 |
|
We held our annual Future Leaders Program this month and wrapped up our program this past Saturday with a mock Board of Supervisors meeting and graduation ceremony.
We had over 40 students participate in the program this year, selected from high schools in the Brea Olinda, Anaheim Union, Fullerton Joint, and Placentia Yorba Linda School Districts. Students that participated were able to develop their leadership skills, explore different career opportunities, and learn how local government works.
During the four sessions, our future leaders were able to tour the County Administration North Building, Sheriff- Coroner Division Department and OC Airport. They also received presentations by OC Workforce Development on career exploration, OC Health Care Agency on Mental Health Awareness, and OC Transportation Agency on public transportation. They also met with County department heads to learn more about the different county organizations and their time at the County
In their final session, students participated in a mock Board of Supervisors meeting, playing County Supervisor for a day. Students debated mental health funding for high schools, County Climate Action Plan, and Discretionary Fund spending.
Special thanks to our County departments that allowed our Future Leaders to tour their departments and learn more about their duties.
Stay tuned for next year Future Leaders application this upcoming winter/spring.

Celebrating Families Dinner |
 |
|
We are proud to share that we sponsored the recent Celebrating Families event, in partnership with our office and the Orange County Social Services Agency. A big thank you to the Fullerton Free Church for providing the venue for the event.
It was a beautiful and meaningful event, which honored the reunification of families within the foster care system and recognized the vital role SSA social workers play in helping parents and children reunite. It was truly moving to hear the powerful stories of resilience and hope shared by families.
Thank you to the Social Services Agency’s Children and Family Services department, for your dedication to supporting families on their journey toward stability and self-sufficiency.

Registrar of Votes- 2025 Election Administration Plan (EAP) |
 |
|
The Orange County Registrar of Voters is seeking input from the public on key areas of the EAP as it prepares to review and update the current 2021-2025 Final Election Administration Plan.
The EAP is the guiding document for how voting in elections is administered under the Voter’s Choice Act (VCA). It addresses the Registrar of Voters’ voter education and outreach program, operation of Vote Centers and Ballot Drop Boxes, provision of language and accessibility services, security measures, and contingency plans.
Members of the public interested in providing feedback on these topics have several ways to provide their input. Details about all of the following opportunities have been posted on an updated EAP webpage that was launched this week. Visit ocvote.gov/eap.
