Rita Recommends - Adult Book
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen
Claire has stayed behind, looking after her mother and creating a very in-demand catering business. Her sister, Sydney, got out of town as soon as she could, but now she’s back – with a small child in tow. Claire continues to nurture and protect the mythical family garden, the fruits of which give her dishes their special power, while trying to protect her quiet, private life from the upheaval her sister is sure to bring. This blend of family dynamics and mystic realism makes a great book group selection.
