The Othena.com vaccine platform is now available in Spanish. The iOS and Android apps are also being developed in Spanish and should be live in the next few days. Othena will begin development of their Vietnamese webpage soon.
Individuals who received their first vaccine dose at one of the County's fire service Point of Dispensing (POD) sites have been entered in the Othena system and will be notified of a second dose appointment at the Disneyland Super POD.
The second COVID-19 vaccine dose should be administered as close to the recommended interval as possible (3 weeks for Pfizer-BioNTech and one month for Moderna). However, the CDC’s guidance allows for second dose administration up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first if it is not feasible to adhere to the recommended interval. The CDC is not advocating for people to delay getting their second dose, but the data from clinical trials supports that it is still effective in the delayed range.

FACT: With 23.5 million doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines now given, there have been very few side effects. The most common symptoms reported include pain where the shot was received, fatigue, headache, muscle soreness, fever and chills. These were more common after the second dose. Learn more.
