California Competes Tax Credit
The California Competes Tax Credit application windows for FY 2025-26 have been announced. This income tax credit is available to businesses that plan to locate or expand in California and create quality, full-time jobs.
Free application webinars will be held on July 23rd and 31st for businesses looking to learn more about the program, understand the evaluation criteria, and receive step-by-step instructions on how to apply.
Employment Training Funding 2025-2026
The Employment Training Panel has approved funding priorities and limitations for FY 2025–2026, based on employer demand, labor market trends, and economic conditions. These priorities help guide the allocation of training funds and are subject to change at the Panel’s discretion.
The Panel has also identified certain sectors as “Priority Industry,” which qualify for a higher fixed-fee reimbursement rate. This designation does not affect the application process, indicate eligibility, or guarantee funding.
