Sultana Avenue Storm Drain Project
 Sultana Avenue Improvements Underway!
In January 2025, work began on the Sultana Avenue Storm Drain, Sewer, and Street Improvement project. This important $17 million project is made possible through Measure Q and Sewer Enterprise Funds. The goal is to make our community safer and more resilient by improving drainage, upgrading the sewer system, and helping reduce flooding in the area.
We’re excited to bring these improvements to our neighborhood, and we appreciate your patience as work continues. To see a map of the project and learn more, click the button below.
TCC Active Transportation Project
Starting in late February and continuing through December 2025, improvements will be made to Mission Boulevard to enhance safety and mobility for everyone. While lane closures may cause some slower traffic, these upgrades will bring lasting benefits to our community.
As part of the TCC Active Transportation Project A, we’ll be constructing five miles of one-way buffered bike lanes and three miles of new sidewalks along Mission Boulevard, from Benson Avenue to Euclid Avenue. The project will also include updates like new curb and gutter, parkways, streetlights, and bike detection at signalized intersections to help keep everyone safe on the road.
Additionally, the TCC Active Transportation Project B will focus on making crossings safer with the installation of Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHB) at four intersections along Holt Boulevard (Laurel Avenue, Palm Avenue, Fern Avenue, and Bonita Court) as well as an enhanced pedestrian crossing at G Street and Laurel Avenue.
We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our streets for bikers, pedestrians, and drivers alike!
