Ontario Boxing Club has trained over 100,000 kids in the local community. Driven by a mission to make fighters not just in the ring but in life, business owner and boxing coach Gerome Egans pushes every person who walks through the doors of his gym to become strong individuals.
This business has made an everlasting impact on many Ontario residents' lives. It was an honor to showcase the Ontario Boxing Club in the City of Ontario's Made in Ontario mini-series, and it was a pleasure learning more about Gerome and his dedication to his business and Ontario's youth.

Ontario Bakery is Now Dandy's Pastry Shoppe
Congratulations to Dandy's Pastry Shopped on their grand opening.  Located at the former site of Ontario Bakery, 1010 North Mountain Avenue, Dandy’s Pastry is a family-owned bakery run by Daniel and Dianira. Their shop offers an array of delicious treats, from cookies and croissants to an assortment of other pastries. The event was well received with former Ontario Bakery owners present in support for the new pastry shop.  The City of Ontario is proud to welcome Dandy’s to our business community and looks forward to their growth and success.
The Willow Luxury Townhomes is Now Leasing
 This week, Tipping Development hosted the grand opening for The Willow Luxury Townhomes.
Located at 221 N Mountain Avenue, The Willow is a new community featuring 39 luxury townhomes in Ontario. Potential residents can choose from one or two-bedroom layouts.

Downtown Retail Pop-Up Applications Open

We are excited to announce that the Downtown Ontario Retail Pop-up Program applications are now open.
This program supports qualified small businesses looking to grow into brick-and-mortar stores. Selected applicants will be offered a short-term rental of City-owned commercial tenant space for $1.00 a month for up to six months.
Application submissions are due by June 24, 2024.

The Restaurants Care Resilience Fund will be accepting applications from June 15-30, 2024.
Independent restaurants and commercial caterers are invited to apply for $5,000 grants aimed at enhancing resilience through technology upgrades, equipment enhancements, employee training and retention, and addressing unforeseen hardships.
Restaurants Care will award $5,000 grants to 278 small businesses. We strongly encourage all eligible entities to apply.
California STEP Grant Applications Open
The California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) Grant applications are open. STEP is a federally funded grant program that aims to increase export activities among small businesses. Companies can apply for reimbursable export vouchers, which can fund up to $10,000 in funding for export promotion activities.

Commercial Real Estate as a Business Owner
Join the Inland Empire SBDC for a two-day course to gain the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions and achieve ownership in commercial real estate.
The course will be held on June 27-28, from 5-7 PM, at the Entrepreneurial Resource Center, 330 N D St (5th floor), San Bernardino, CA 92408, Inland Empire Blvd, Suite B.
You'll learn about the types of commercial real estate, leasing vs. buying, working with a broker, loan options, working capital, and essential documents and resources.

Join the Inland Empire SBDC on June 18, 2024, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce, 9500 Cleveland Avenue #110, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, for a course on smart branding strategies for small businesses.
