 Parade will start at 4th St. and Euclid (southbound side of the median), route will cross median on "G" St., then continue southbound towards the Town Square on the northbound side of the median.
Ontario Regional Sports Complex Scoping Meeting
 A Notice of Preparation that the City of Ontario will prepare an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for Ontario Regional Sports Complex.
The 30-day Public Review Period extends from November 14, 2023 to December 15, 2023.
A Scoping Meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 6:00 PM via Zoom. In order to participate in the scoping meeting, please email your full name and physical address to Thomas Grahn, at tgrahn@ontarioca.gov, by 5:00 PM on Wednesday December 6, 2023, to obtain the Zoom meeting invite. The scoping meeting will begin with a presentation at 6:00 PM, followed by questions from the public.

Civic Center Campus Expansion
 The City of Ontario began work on the Civic Center Campus Expansion late summer, a part of the broader Ontario Plan to revitalize downtown. This effort envisions a modernized Civic Center Campus that will attract more activity in the downtown and optimize available space.
Construction began last month with the new location for Fire Station #1 on the corner of Sultana Avenue and D Street.

Winter Holiday Closures
 Winter Holiday Closures
City Facilities will be closed in observance of the winter holidays from Saturday, December 24, 2023, through Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Normal business hours will resume on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
City Facilities that will be closed include City Hall, City Hall Annex, Utility & Customer Service Center, Municipal Utilities Company, Community Improvement, and the lobby entrances for Police and Fire.
The Ontario Access Center will remain open to the public from Tuesday, December 26 through Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 9 AM to 4 PM but will close to the public on Monday, December 25 and Friday, December 29, 2023 and will reopen at 9 AM on January 2, 2023.
The Ovitt Family Community Library, Lewis Family Branch and the Recreation & Community Services buildings will close on Sunday, December 24 and Monday, December 25, 2023 as well as Sunday, December 31 and Monday, January 1, 2024.
The Museum of History & Art will close Sunday, December 24 through Tuesday, December 26 as well as Sunday, December 31, 2023 through Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Police and Fire services will remain available 24/7.

Refuse and recycling service will not occur on Monday, December 25 or Monday, January 1, 2024. Collection will be provided one day later than your normal pickup day for the remainder of the week.

Christmas Tree Collection
 The City's Integrated Waste Department will collect Christmas trees Tuesday, January 2 through Friday, January 12. Natural trees are chipped, mixed with leaves, and recycled into rich compost for beneficial reuse.
Natural Trees
- Please remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel, stands, and plastic coverings from your tree before placing on the curb.
- Do not place your tree in a plastic bag.
- Place the tree next to the containers on your regular collection day.
- Please schedule a bulky item pick-up by contacting (909) 395-2050 for Christmas trees set out after January 12.
Artificial Trees
- Donate artificial trees in good condition to your local nonprofit organizations.
- If possible, recycle the base and trunk (pole) of the tree in the blue recycling bin.
- Remove all lights, ornaments, and tinsel before placing the tree on curb.
- If the lights are still intact, please remove them.
- If ornaments and tinsel are still intact, please place in the black refuse bin.
West Valley Connector
 Preconstruction activities are underway on the West Valley Connector (WVC) project including property acquisition and demolition in anticipation for the start of construction in December 2023. The 100% zero-emission Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is the first stage of the San Bernardino County zero-emission Bus Initiative and second BRT route in San Bernardino County.
Phase I of the project is 19 miles and will upgrade a portion of existing Route 61, which runs along Holt Boulevard, adding approximately 3.5 miles as center running, dedicated bus-only lanes. There will be 21 stations in Phase I that will provide an improved transit connection to Ontario International Airport (ONT) and link ONT, two Metrolink lines (San Bernardino and Riverside) and multiple major activity centers along the route.
