Civic Center Campus Expansion
On September 5, the City of Ontario will begin work on the Civic Center Campus Expansion, a part of the broader Ontario Plan to revitalize downtown. This effort envisions a modernized Civic Center Campus that will contribute to the reactivation of downtown, attracting more activity in downtown and optimizing available space.
The first project, which will relocate a storm drain line on D St. between Cherry Ave. and Sultana Ave., is tentatively scheduled to start September 11 and complete in late October. During construction, there will be significant impacts to traffic in the area and it is advisable to avoid this stretch of D St. and also the intersection at Sultana Ave. Please plan ahead and expect delays.
We have an exciting lineup of projects in the pipeline, with more to follow soon. Stay tuned for further updates as we'll be sharing additional information on our website.
Through joint expansion efforts and various collaborations, Ontario is committed to driving economic growth, promoting innovation, and fostering community development downtown.
For any questions, concerns, or further information regarding the construction projects and associated changes, please contact:

Ontario Municipal Utilities Company (OMUC) Local Fix
Ontario Municipal Utilities Company (OMUC) Repairing and Improving Our Community!
The OMUC team became aware of a leak at the intersection of Euclid and the 60 Freeway on Friday, August 18, ahead of the arrival of Tropical Storm Hillary. The team promptly took action, repairing the leak and welding a short segment of the 12-inch cement mortar-coated steel pipe before the storm's scheduled arrival on Saturday. We extend our gratitude to the OMUC team for their dedication in ensuring our community's preparedness.

KinderFair 2023
Kindergarten guardians! Be on the lookout for your kindergartener’s KinderGo library card! Ontario City Library welcomes its 9th KinderGo cohort for the 2023-24 school year.
KinderGo is a literacy and library card awareness project that began in 2015. Ontario city staff from different departments visit kindergarten classrooms to read a picture book, share a message about the importance of literacy, introduce students to the city’s libraries, and provide them each with their very own KinderGo library card. KinderGo is provided in partnership with the Ontario-Montclair School District, Mountain View School District, Cucamonga School District, Chino Valley Unified School District, and St. George Parish School.
KinderGo visits will occur from September 18 to September 29, 2023. After all the visits, kindergarteners and their families are invited to KinderFair. Each child will receive a prize for using their KinderGo card during KinderFair and can enjoy activities just for them!
