View Ontario's Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan and Provide Your Feedback!
Since 2022, we’ve been working on an update to our LHMP, a five-year strategy to identify and reduce the threats from natural and human-caused disasters to our community. City staff is preparing this plan, with support from key stakeholders, and technical consultants. Feedback and comments from other Ontario community members have helped to ensure that the plan reflects the opinions, concerns, and goals of our residents and businesses.
A first draft of the completed plan is now available, and we want your input. Tell us what you think about the plan and ways we can improve it. We want to hear all your ideas.
We’ll integrate public comments into the plan prior to transmittal to state and federal agencies. You can share your comments until June 9th, 2023. You can read the plan here, Local Hazard Mitigation Plan | City of Ontario, California (ontarioca.gov) and send your comments to 2023 Ontario Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) Public Review Draft Comments (google.com) .
