Join the City of Ontario and communities across the country this May to celebrate National Preservation Month.
This year, Ontario’s theme for National Preservation Month is “Placekeeping, Placemaking.” We want to hear from you to see what places preserve the stories and culture of this community. Participate by submitting a video or photo to include in this year’s Preservation Month program. Select photos and videos will be compiled into a video that will be shown at an upcoming City Council meeting celebrating Preservation Month. Maybe historic Euclid Avenue, and the activities that occur on the median throughout the year deserves recognition. Or Chaffey High School, one of Ontario’s architectural gems, tells the story of growing up in Ontario. It’s up to you to let everyone know what places keep and make Ontario special. Submit your video on Instagram via direct message or post and tag @CityofOntario with the hashtag #ThisPlaceMattersOntario. You can also email your photo or video to eantuna@ontarioca.gov - please include your name and brief description of the photo or video stating why this place keeps and makes Ontario special. Please submit all entries no later than Tuesday, April 25th.
