COVID-19 UPDATES
San Bernardino County Is Fully Open for Business and Tourism
San Bernardino County, along with the rest of the state, is now fully reopened — eliminating various restrictions and saying farewell to the color-coded county tier system. San Bernardino County officially met the qualifications for the Yellow Tier this week, which is moot given all restrictions are now lifted.
Restaurants, bars, retail stores, theaters, hotels and entertainment centers may return to usual operations — meaning no capacity limitations and no requirements for social distancing.
All of California’s restrictions on travel outside the state will be lifted, and the state says it is not considering creating a vaccine passport.
Vaccination Locations at a Glance
The County continues to operate 14 ongoing stationary vaccination clinics that are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. All sites accept walk-ins. Anyone can pre-register for their visit by visiting MyTurn.CA.gov. Every clinic offers the Pfizer vaccine (ages 12+ with a parent or guardian present with minors). Please keep in mind, County-operated vaccination sites will be closed Monday, July 5 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
Hospitals, clinics and pharmacies There are hundreds of hospitals, health centers, clinics and pharmacies throughout the County offering vaccinations. Individuals can use the County website or go through their physician groups associated with Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Loma Linda University Health, San Antonio Regional Hospital, Mountains Community Hospital, Redlands Community Hospital, Bear Valley Community Healthcare or the San Bernardino Clinics. An appointment is always welcome and encouraged for any vaccination. For hospitals, clinics and County-run sites, use MyTurn.CA.gov
In addition, Moderna vaccines are being given at the San Bernardino County Health Centers in San Bernardino, Ontario, Hesperia and Adelanto. For clinic locations, visit the County Public Health Clinic website or call (800) 722-4777.
Finally, there are participating pharmacies administering doses throughout the county, including Albertsons, Costco, Ralphs, Rite Aid, Sav-On, Vons, Walgreens and Walmart, as well as many independent pharmacies. Individuals should check directly with their preferred, neighborhood pharmacy, or again, check the list at vaccines.gov.
Relief for Tenants and Landlords
Tenants and landlords in San Bernardino County and financially impacted by the pandemic may apply for the San Bernardino County Rent Relief Partnership, an emergency rental assistance program, funded by $48.6 million in congressionally approved funds. The relief may help with up to 12 months of rental back-pay or future rent payments, as well as utility back-pay and prospective assistance. The county's partner in the program, Inland SoCal 211+ (ISC211), will begin accepting applications through December 31st, 2021, or until all funds are exhausted, whichever occurs first. Eligibility requirements include San Bernardino County residency, a household income at or below 50% of area median income, and at least one individual within the household must have qualified for unemployment benefits, experienced a reduction in household income, or experienced other financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For a full list of eligibility requirements and more information, click here. To apply, click here to visit www.sbcrentrelief.com or dial 211 and select extension 5. Households with a household income above 50% of area median income (AMI) but below 80% AMI may look for more assistance through the State of California's CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program by visiting housing.CA.gov.
