COVID-19 Testing Sites
In efforts to provide more testing opportunities for San Bernardino County residents, community testing events are being held throughout the county. At these testing events, samples are collected by inserting a swab up the nostril or into the mouth to the throat. These samples are then sent to a laboratory for COVID-19 testing. Events are free of charge and do not require health insurance.
Additional events and event details will be announced as they are confirmed. Please remember, if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, you can still call your doctor and they can determine if you need testing.
Masks are Required in California
Public health officials now require Californians to wear masks or face coverings in most settings outside the home. Read the new rules in English (PDF) or Spanish (PDF).
Coronavirus spreads when an infected person speaks, sneezes, or coughs within 6 feet of others. You may have the virus and spread it even if you feel well. So it’s important to cover your nose and mouth when outside your home.
Wearing a mask or cloth face covering can slow the spread of COVID-19 by limiting the release of virus into the air. It also reinforces physical distancing, and shows you care about the health of others.

City of Ontario Military Banner Program
The City of Ontario is saluting active service members with the launch of its new military banner program. The City has installed 25 banners of active duty military personnel who reside in Ontario or have immediate family members living in the City. The banners are located on Mountain Avenue between the 60 Freeway and the Interstate 10 Freeway.
The banners feature the name and branch of the service member. The new program replaces an earlier banner program maintained by the Greater Ontario Business Council.
Families interested in having a banner installed free of charge can download a form from the City’s Military Banners webpage. Accepted applicants will have a banner placed for two years, with a photo placed on the webpage. If the family or service member would like the banner left up for additional service time, a second banner can be purchased by the family. All banners will be given back to the applicant’s family upon removal.
Retired military members are eligible to have their photos posted on the Military Banners webpage. For questions regarding previous banners that have been taken down, please contact Communications@ontarioca.gov or call (909) 395-2000.
