 The final designed draft of the Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan is now available for public review ahead of City Council consideration for adoption.
Since the March 17 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, staff have continued refining the Plan based on additional feedback from commissioners and residents. The document is now available in its final designed format, featuring updated graphics, visual enhancements and improved readability.

Recent updates include:
- Defining underserved planning areas
- Prioritizing the expansion of parks and open spaces in those areas
- Prioritizing locally native species for trees and landscaping
- Identifying near-term opportunities to expand native planting and tree canopy
The Plan will be presented to the City Council for consideration of adoption on Tuesday, May 26, at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at 500 Castro St.
