- The Senior Center will be closing at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and remain closed until Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. The Senior Nutrition Program will be serving lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 26, 29 and 30.

Indoor Dining
The Community Services Agency’s Senior Nutrition Program offers dine-in meals in the Social Hall of the Mountain View Senior Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., sign-in starts at 11 a.m., and lunch is served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Social Hall closes at 1 p.m. A $5 donation is suggested for permanent residents 60+ of Santa Clara County.
Lunch service is first come, first served and availability is not guaranteed.

Join us for our special Holiday Lunch on Friday, Dec. 19! In-person reservations open at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 in the Social Hall. Each person may reserve up to two seats. Reservations cannot be made by phone or email. To sit with friends on the day of the Holiday Lunch, please sign in together, as seats cannot be saved. |

Recycling and composting are great ways to reduce your individual impact on the environment, but it can be confusing! Join the City of Mountain View’s Solid Waste Team for a fun and interactive session to discover ways you can help reduce waste in your daily life, test your sorting skills with a materials-sorting game, and explore helpful resources. 55+ welcome.

Parking at the Senior Center will be limited during this period. The Senior Nutrition Program will temporarily relocate to the Community Center (201 S. Rengstorff Ave.). Please consider carpooling, allowing extra time, or using alternate transportation.
All classes and clubs will be paused or temporarily moved to the Community Center, except MVLA ESL classes, which will remain at the Senior Center. Temporary locations for volunteer-led programs will be listed in the Winter Class Guide released in mid-December. The Technology Room, Game Room, and Exercise Room will remain open for drop-in use.

Free blood pressure screenings are offered by a volunteer registered nurse on Friday, Dec. 12 from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in Multipurpose Room A. No registration required.

Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) appointments are available at the Senior Center on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. A volunteer counselor can assist with your health care options and rights. Pre-registration required, and space is limited.

Senior Adult Legal Assistance (SALA) offers free legal services at the Senior Center on the first Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for Santa Clara County residents aged 60 or older. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.

Free Grocery pick-up is the first through fourth Tuesday of each month, 8:30 - 10 a.m. Pre-registration is required. For more information, visit the Front Desk or stop by during program hours. Operated by the Second Harvest Food Bank.

A welcome tour of the Senior Center is held on the third Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Lobby. During the tour, Staff will provide an overview of classes, upcoming events, social services, and more.

The Senior Advisory Committee (SAC) meets on the third Wednesday of the month in March, June, Sept., and Dec. at 4:15 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Mountain View Senior Center.
