On Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 2:59 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received reporting downed power lines and smoke at the intersection of N. Whisman Road and Devonshire Avenue.
Fire units were dispatched at 3:00 p.m. and arrived on the scene at 3:06 p.m. Units arrived to find live power lines down along Devonshire Avenue. Pacific Gas & Electric Crews were called to the scene to deenergize the downed wires and restore service. The Mountain View Police Department provided traffic control for one hour while fire units and equipment were on the scene.
PG&E representatives were able to deenergize the live wires on the ground and restore service to the bulk of the affected customers. PG&E expects to restore service to the remaining 101 meters by 10:15 p.m. this evening.
