National Night Out - August 5 |

Join Us for National Night Out! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 5 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., as the Mountain View Police, Fire, and City staff come together to celebrate the 42nd Annual National Night Out (NNO). National Night Out is all about bringing neighbors together, fostering community partnerships, and strengthening the bonds that keep Mountain View safe and welcoming for all. This year, we’re taking the celebration to the heart of downtown at Civic Center Plaza and Mercy Street.
• Meet Your Local Police, Fire, and City Staff: An opportunity to ask questions, connect, and learn how we can all work together to keep our neighborhoods safe.
• Public Safety Vehicle Display: Get an up-close look at police cars, fire engines, and more.
• Free Cold Treats: Enjoy complimentary ice cream and popsicles to escape from the summer heat.
• City Resource Booths: Learn about valuable resources and services available in our community.
• Family-Friendly Activities: Fun for all ages as we build community spirit together.

Concerts on the Plaza - August Performers |

The Concerts on the Plaza music series continue for the month of August. Concerts will be held Friday evenings from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Civic Center Plaza, 500 Castro Street. Join your friends, neighbors, and fellow music lovers for nights packed with fun, food and dancing.

Preschool Registration: 2025-2026 School Year

Our creative, play-based preschool programs have been designed to meet the developmental needs of the “whole child.” The curriculum centers on the vital social opportunities children need to grow emotionally, cognitively, and kinesthetically. We have three different programs to choose from. Children must be potty-trained (no children in diapers or potty-training diapers).

In preparation of the Senior Center Electrification and Solar Array Project, Parking at the Senior Center (266 Escuela Avenue) will be limited due to scheduled construction from Wednesday, Aug. 27 through Monday, Sept.1.
To accommodate this, the Senior Nutrition Program will temporarily move to the Community Center (201 S. Rengstorff Avenue) from Wednesday, Aug. 27 to Friday, Aug. 29.

Notice: Eagle Park Pool Temporary Closure
|

The main pool pump at Eagle Park Pool is failing and requires immediate maintenance to prevent an unplanned closure. To address this issue proactively, scheduled maintenance will take place from Aug. 11 through Sept. 1 to restore the pump.
During this time, all youth and community user groups will be temporarily relocated to the Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center. This relocation will require schedule changes for all programs.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to maintain the safety and reliability of our aquatic facilities.
