Pedestrian Mall Decorative Street Treatment |
Installation of Downtown Mountain View's decorative street treatment along the central walkway of the Castro Street Pedestrian Mall began this week. The “ribbons” design will bring added color and contribute to the welcoming, pedestrian-friendly atmosphere.
This decorative touch will be added to the 100, 200, and 300 blocks of Castro Street. Businesses will remain open throughout the project. Sidewalk access and outdoor dining will also remain available. Painting of the new street treatment will take place during standard weekday work hours, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. Only half a block of the central walkway will be closed at any given time during the installation period.
