Suspect in Custody for Attempted Murder

Suspect in custody for attempted murder in Mountain View

Mountain View, CA-On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at approximately 3:39 p.m., Mountain View Police Department officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Claire Court in response to a reported stabbing. The reporting party informed Mountain View Police Department communications that her friend, the victim, had just been stabbed with a knife by her brother. The suspect was also restrained inside the residence.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim and observed injuries consistent with being stabbed. Officers provided medical aid until the City of Mountain View Fire Department arrived and took over medical care. The victim was then transported by a County Ambulance to an area hospital for treatment and care. 

Officers arrested the suspect without incident and transported him to the Mountain View Police Department for further investigation.

Suspect David Ahlport, a 42-year-old Emeryville resident, was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for one count of Penal Code 664/187(a)- Attempted Murder
