Sponsored by the City of Mountain View and organized by your very own Youth Advisory Committee (YAC), this week is all about recognizing and supporting the awesome teens in our community.

The Teen-Friendly Business Program was introduced in 2012 by the Youth Advisory Committee as a way for teens to recognize their favorite hangouts, highlight the best place to grab a snack after school, and thank the place where they feel most welcome. 🙌

TEEN ART SHOWCASE
Monday, March 17 5:30-7 p.m. Mountain View City Hall - 500 Castro St
Join us for a gallery reception of the Teen Art Showcase, where teen artwork from all over Mountain View will be on display. Free boba tea and mochi waffles will be served while supplies last. The Teen Art Showcase will remain on display for public viewing during open City Hall hours through March 21 at 4 p.m.

STYLE SWAP
Tuesday, March 18 5:30-7 p.m. The View Teen Center - 263 Escuela Ave
Declutter your closet and refresh your style! Join our Teen Style Swap and trade clothes with friends. Browse gently used clothing, accessories, and shoes to swap for new-to-you treasures. Tie-dye station also available! Refreshments provided. Free and fun!
Want to donate clothes? All clothes must be dropped off in advance to The View Teen Center during open hours by Friday, Mar. 7. You don't have to bring anything to take something home!

CULTURAL DIVERSITY FAIR
Wednesday, March 19 5:30-7 p.m. Mountain View Community Center- 201 S. Rengstorff Avenue
Bring out the entire family to enjoy live performances, “travel the world” with educational booths, and sample a variety of international foods from local restaurants. This teen-led event celebrates the cultural diversity of the Mountain View community and the world by educating attendees on cultures, talents, and beliefs.

TEEN ART IN THE DARK
Thursday, March 20 5:30-7 p.m. The View Teen Center - 263 Escuela Ave
Join us for a radiant evening at Art in the Dark! Whether you're an experienced artist or just looking to try something new, this event has something for everyone. Projects include glow in the dark slime, neon shrinky dinks, poster painting, and scratch away art. Refreshments provided. Free and fun!

TEEN OPEN MIC NIGHT
Friday, March 21 6-7:30 p.m. Red Rock Coffee - 201 Castro St
6th – 12th graders will perform music, poetry, monologues, comedy, dance, and hidden talents. Come for the performances and cool conversations.
All performers, as well as the first 20 teens through the doors, will receive a free drink from Red Rock Coffee!
