- Use your hard-earned ViewBucks to shop at the ViewBucks Store, where you'll find a variety of items, including candy, school supplies, and prizes valued between 2-10 Viewbucks each. The store will be open on the first Friday of each month during drop-in hours. Check it out Friday, Feb. 7!

DIY Dessert Board Workshop
Friday, Feb. 7 4-5:30 p.m. The View Teen Center
Join us for a sweet and creative experience! In this hands-on workshop, you'll decorate a personalized dessert board using non-toxic stains and paints. Once your board is complete, it's time to get creative with your treats! Customize chocolate-covered strawberries, marshmallows, and pretzels with a variety of toppings and colors. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a beautiful and delicious dessert board to share with friends and family.

Find Your Fit: Teen Career Day
Saturday, Mar. 8 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The View Teen Center
Discover your passion and future! This event, planned for teens by teens, is a fantastic opportunity to explore various career paths and connect with industry professionals. Learn about potential jobs and internships while networking with experts in the field. In addition, enjoy breakfast and snacks, a free career-themed giveaway item, and raffle prizes.

 Adulting 101: Car Maintenance Basics
Thursday, Feb. 6 6-7 p.m. The View Teen Center
This workshop will teach teens how to check tire pressure, monitor oil levels, and confidently change a flat tire. Teens will also learn the importance of being prepared for roadside emergencies by building the foundation for their own Emergency Car Kit.

 Books, Buttons, and Bites: Long Way Down: The Graphic Novel
Wednesday, Feb. 26 5-6 p.m. The View Teen Center
This book club combines the joy of reading with creative expression and culinary fun. Each month, members read a selected book, design and create buttons inspired by the story, and then concoct snacks that reflect the book's themes or setting. *Register by Friday, Feb. 14 to receive your FREE copy of the book!*

 The YAC is a dynamic group of 25 teens working alongside city officials and staff to bring youth perspectives to the forefront of decision-making. From organizing events to addressing community needs, YAC members play a crucial role in making Mountain View an even better place for teens.

Applications for the 2025-26 School Year open Monday, Feb. 3!
Open to current 6th-11th grade students interested in local government and making a difference. The City of Mountain View Youth Advisory Committee serves in an advisory role, offering valuable perspectives to the City Council and staff on matters concerning youth and teens within our community. Meetings take place on Mondays twice a month at The View Teen Center to strategize programs, propose new services, and address relevant issues concerning the youth and teens in Mountain View.

Are you a Mountain View or Los Altos student in 11th or 12th grade starting to think about college? Join us on a trip to a local college campus and get a firsthand look at what college life is all about. You'll have the chance to see the campus and its facilities, meet current students and faculty, learn about academic programs and financial aid options, and get a taste of campus dining!

The View Teen Center partners with EduEquity, a volunteer-led non-profit organization that provides FREE tutoring opportunities for middle school students.
The following subjects are available for tutoring:
- Mathematics (Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus)
- English (Writing, Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading, Analyzing literature)
- Science (Middle-school science, Biology, Chemistry)

The City of Mountain View's FREE Teen Open Gym is THE place to be on Saturday nights! Open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Whisman Sports Center to all Mountain View and Los Altos middle and high school students! Just bring your student I.D.

 The Teen Zone at the Mountain View Public Library is an area in the Library dedicated to teens. Seating in the Octagon area of the Teen Zone is reserved during all open Library hours for teens and those accompanying them.

Want to be a comedy superstar? Or just a more confident person? Join us for a two-part Introduction to Improv workshop led by the Los Altos High School Improv Club! They’ll be introducing the fundamental principles of improv, as well as practicing with some fun group games. You can work on valuable skills that apply not just to acting, but to general communication and problem solving. No experience is needed – they’ll teach you everything you need to know!
