Solo Motorcycle Collision at Shoreline Blvd / Villa Street

Mountain View, Calif. — A solo motorcyclist was involved in a collision resulting in serious injuries.

At around 1:53 p.m. today, Mountain View Police officers were dispatched to a solo motorcyclist collision that occurred on Shoreline Boulevard just north of Villa Street. Officers arrived at the location and found the motorcyclist in the roadway unconscious.

Officers immediately administered first aid until a City of Mountain View Fire Department paramedic arrived and continued treatment. The motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Northbound Shoreline Boulevard north of Villa Street was closed while the Mountain View Police Department traffic unit collected evidence and interviewed potential witnesses. The cause of this collision has yet to be determined. Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have been a factor.
