- The View Teen Center will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 1 and Monday, Jan. 20. Join us for adjusted hours, 1-6 p.m., Jan. 2, 3, & 6. Please note The View Teen Center will close early at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24.
- January-March Program Registration is filling up quick! Register online at MountainView.gov/ActiveNet. DON'T MISS OUT on workshops, enrichment trips, and fun programs!
- Use your hard-earned ViewBucks to shop at the ViewBucks Store, where you'll find a variety of items, including candy, school supplies, and prizes valued between 2-10 Viewbucks each. The store will be open on the first Friday of each month during drop-in hours. Check it out Friday, Jan 3!

DIY Boba Tea Workshop
Friday, Jan. 3 Time: 2-3:30 p.m. The View Teen Center
Feelin' Bubbly? Satisfy your milk tea cravings and learn how to create an Instagram-worthy boba tea. Join us for a fun and interactive workshop where you'll learn the secrets to crafting the perfect boba tea. From brewing the tea to cooking the chewy tapioca pearls, you'll get hands-on experience with every step of the process. Customize your drink with a variety of toppings and flavors.

Books, Buttons, and Bites: Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me by Mariko Tamaki
Wednesday, Jan. 22 5-6 p.m. The View Teen Center
This book club combines the joy of reading with creative expression and culinary fun. Each month, members read a selected book, design and create buttons inspired by the story, and then concoct snacks that reflect the book's themes or setting.

Get ready for epic battles and non-stop fun! Unleash your inner warrior and compete against friends in thrilling Nerf gun challenges. We'll have a blast with games like capture the flag, team battles, and target practice. Come equipped with your favorite Nerf blaster or borrow one of ours. Safety gear will be provided and required by all.

Makerspace Workshop: Cricut 101
Thursday, Jan. 16 4-6 p.m. The View Teen Center
Dive into the world of Cricut! This hands-on workshop is designed to teach you the ins and outs of operating a Cricut machine. From setting up the machine to navigating the design software, we'll cover everything you need to know to get started. Learn about different materials, cutting techniques, and troubleshooting tips.

 Makerspace Workshop: Shrinky Dinks
Monday, Jan. 27 4-6 p.m. The View Teen Center
Transform your doodles and designs into mini masterpieces. We'll provide all the supplies, you bring the creativity! Learn how to turn flat drawings into adorable charms, magnets, keychains, earrings, and more.

 The YAC is a dynamic group of 25 teens working alongside city officials and staff to bring youth perspectives to the forefront of decision-making. From organizing events to addressing community needs, YAC members play a crucial role in making Mountain View an even better place for teens.

Are you a Mountain View or Los Altos student in 11th or 12th grade starting to think about college? Join us on a trip to San Jose State and San José City College and get a firsthand look at what college life is all about.
You'll have the chance to:
- See the campus and its facilities
- Meet current students and faculty
- Learn about academic programs and financial aid options
- Get a taste of campus dining

Tutoring
The View Teen Center partners with EduEquity, a volunteer-led non-profit organization that provides FREE tutoring opportunities for middle school students.
The following subjects are available for tutoring:
- Mathematics (Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus)
- English (Writing, Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading, Analyzing literature)
- Science (Middle-school science, Biology, Chemistry)
- Mandarin Chinese

The City of Mountain View's FREE Teen Open Gym is THE place to be on Saturday nights! Open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Whisman Sports Center to all Mountain View and Los Altos middle and high school students! Just bring your student I.D.

Learn about potential jobs and internships while networking with experts in the field. In addition, enjoy breakfast and snacks, a free career-themed giveaway item, and raffle prizes.
