Emergency Operations Center Exercise

The City of Mountain View will practice preparing for an emergency response

On Thursday, Oct. 24, the City of Mountain View Fire Department will conduct an Emergency Operations Center exercise in the parking lot of 590 Castro St. from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The purpose of the exercise is to prepare City staff for the possibility of responding to an emergency or disaster and restoring the continuity of City operations for essential services. During the exercise, City staff will receive a demonstration of how to use the satellite phones and inflatable building resources. Discussions with staff will include disaster preparedness, backup power, fuel supplies, procuring additional resources to sustain service to our community, workflows, phone line considerations and other elements needed to deliver core services.
