 Bike To Boba

Bike To Boba is a seasonal monthly program and the coolest way for teens to learn bike safety while discovering awesome local boba spots! It's the perfect mix of learning, exploring, and supporting our community, one bike ride at a time. Simply gather at The View Teen Center at the designated start time with your bike and helmet. Best of all, your preferred Boba drink is on us!

 Adulting 101: Road Ready - Auto Insurance
Thursday, Oct. 17 6-7 p.m. The View Teen Center
This workshop will teach teens key aspects of auto insurance. Dive into auto insurance terms through a fun trivia session, discover what to do if you're in an accident, and learn about money-saving strategies like good student and good driver discounts. Get road-ready with essential knowledge for responsible driving! This workshop is provided by Ludwig Fawcett Insurance Brokers.

 Makerspace Workshop: Paper Lanterns

Illuminate your space this Fall with enchanting lanterns crafted from tissue paper and popsicle sticks! Discover the magic of creating beautiful decorations that add a warm glow to any setting.

 AfterHours: Sugar Skulls
Friday, Oct. 25 6-8 p.m. The View Teen Center
Teens can unleash their creativity by decorating intricate sugar skulls and whipping up glow-in-the-dark slime. Indulge in themed treats that capture the spirit of Halloween and enjoy a screening of the beloved movie "Coco" to get into the festive mood. Don't forget to come dressed in your spookiest attire!

 The YAC is a dynamic group of 25 teens working alongside city officials and staff to bring youth perspectives to the forefront of decision-making. From organizing events to addressing community needs, YAC members play a crucial role in making Mountain View an even better place for teens.

The View Teen Center partners with EduEquity, a volunteer-led non-profit organization that provides FREE tutoring opportunities for middle school students.
The following subjects are available for tutoring:

- English (Writing, Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading, Analyzing literature)
- Science (Middle-school science, Biology, Chemistry)

Financial Literacy and Empowerment
Saturdays, Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The View Teen Center
This four-week teen-led program walks through the basics of saving, budgeting, investing, credit, and the basics of financial knowledge. Workshops will be led by She Profits whose mission is to empower teens by promoting financial literacy and helping teens to feel more confident about themselves and their worth.

Looking to shoot hoops, spike a volleyball, or just hang with friends?
The City of Mountain View's FREE Teen Open Gym is THE place to be on Saturday nights! Open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Whisman Sports Center to all Mountain View and Los Altos middle and high school students! Just bring your student I.D.

The Teen Zone at the Mountain View Public Library is an area in the Library dedicated to teens. Seating in the Octagon area of the Teen Zone is reserved during all open Library hours for teens and those accompanying them.

3D Printing Workshop: Mini Jack-o'-Lanterns
Tuesday, Oct. 1 6-8 p.m. Library - 1st Floor Program Room
Get in the Halloween spirit and create your own personalized mini jack-o'-lantern! Jason Reynolds from Jinxbot 3D Printing will be available to help you design, customize, and 3D print your macabre masterpiece.
Spookulele! Halloween Ukulele Jam
Wednesday, Oct. 23 6:30-8 p.m. Library - 1st Floor Program Room
Join us for a special Halloween edition of our Sing and Play Along Ukulele Jam! Ukulele instructor Chuck Monahan will teach participants how to play basic chords on the ukulele. Bring your own uke, or use one of ours.

Teen Roller Skate
Friday, Nov. 8 7-9 p.m. The View Teen Center
The View Teen Center will be transformed into a roller rink for you to enjoy skating, music, food, and more! There will be plenty of fun activities to keep you entertained, from limbo contests to dance challenges. Admission includes skate rental and snacks.

Gobble gobble, it’s turkey time! Join us for food, friends, and fun as we celebrate all that we are grateful for. Meal will be complete with meat, vegetarian options, side dishes, desserts, and warm drinks. Visit the front desk to add your food ideas to the menu!
