Help us Imagine the Future of
Mountain View's Parks and Recreation

The survey is available in multiple languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian. Take the survey through Tuesday, April 30.
The online survey complements a mailed and statistically reliable survey that recently went to 3,500 households. It is all part of a robust community input process that will contribute to the development of the City's Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan.
Your creative ideas and input are key to shaping an innovative plan that is responsive to community needs and will accomplish a bold new vision for our parks, facilities and programs.

This year's Citywide Garage Sale is now taking place in September, instead of May.
The change is due to resident feedback that May's rainy weather during the last event resulted in lower public turnout and decreased sales.
This year's event is scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 14 and 15. Staff will conduct another post event survey to gauge whether participants have a preference between the two times of year to hold the sale.
For Citywide Garage Sale updates and information, visit MountainView.gov/GarageSale.

State legislation (Assembly Bill 481), passed in 2021, requires law enforcement agencies to report their inventory of equipment that the legislation defines as military equipment. The legislation also requires that a community engagement meeting be held to discuss the inventory.
Thursday, April 25 7 p.m. Mountain View City Hall, Plaza Conference Room
At this meeting, Police Department staff will present the 2023 AB 481 Military Equipment Annual Report and members of the public will be able to make comments and ask questions.
The staff presentation will note which equipment is in the Police Department’s inventory and whether, how and why it was used during the past year, along with other data. In 2023, the Police Department had equipment in eight of the 15 AB 481 categories. This equipment was minimally used, largely related to training and certification. The Annual Report can be found on the City’s website in the transparency section of the Police Department’s webpages.

New TRUST Vans Serving the Community |
|
Momentum for Health is one of Santa Clara County’s largest nonprofit providers of behavioral health services. Momentum offers treatment for individuals by delivering comprehensive, integrated, accessible, culturally competent care.
Momentum’s Trusted Response Urgent Support Team (TRUST) program has launched newly branded vans, which will be visible in communities throughout Santa Clara County. The goal is for the vans, which provide a mobile safe space for individuals in need of immediate assistance, to become a visible presence in the community. The vans will also serve as a reminder that 24-hour support is only a phone call away.
How familiar are you with TRUST?
TRUST is a Community Mobile Response pilot program designed to respond to people experiencing a mental health crisis or concern without involving law enforcement. TRUST offers phone support, and, when needed, dispatches an in-person response team with expertise in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and stabilization.
An online community survey has been developed to understand the community’s level of awareness of the TRUST program. The survey should take approximately 5 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous. The City appreciates your valuable feedback!
