Mariposa Park Resurfacing Design Mimics Monarch Butterfly Wing |
|
The City of Mountain View recently resurfaced the Mariposa Park playground area – and what a difference it made! The rubber playground surfacing is special at this park as it was designed to mimic the wing of a Monarch butterfly.
Over time, the original rubber surfacing had faded and deteriorated from sun and usage. With careful removal and installation, the final result is vibrant and beautiful.
The City invites the community to see the design in person by visiting the park at 305 Mariposa Ave.
