Peninsula Astronomical Society - From Our Solar system to the Discovery of Andromeda
Thursday, Oct. 5 Social Hall, 1 p.m.
William Phelps, with the Peninsula Astronomical Society will give an out of this world workshop on our solar system! William is currently a volunteer at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and has over 40 years of experience as an amateur astronomer including installing the Foothill College telescope and creating programs for the NPS at Glacier Point in Yosemite. Origami Botanical Garden with Lynbrook High School
Thursday, Oct. 12 Social Hall, 2 p.m.
Learn origami with Jannie and Lyria from Lynbrook High School and create various elements found in gardens such as flowers, frogs, birds and more. Pieces can be made to take home or combined to create a diorama of a botanical garden to be displayed at the Senior Center. Indoor Dining
Community Services Agency's Senior Nutrition Program has a full dine in meal service in the Social Hall of the Mountain View Senior Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Sign in will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Social Hall will close at 1 p.m.
Special Events are limited and first come, first served. On occasion, not all patrons can be served.

Come to one of our movie showings in Multipurpose Room B. Maximum seating for movies is 36. First come, first serve.
When available, screenings have captions for the hard-of-hearing. There is no fee to enjoy these popular movies and seating begins 30 minutes before the show.
NOTE: Please bundle up or bring a lap blanket with you to the movie. The room tends to be on the cooler side.

While searching for her missing mother, intrepid teen Enola Holmes uses her sleuthing skills to outsmart big brother Sherlock and help a runaway lord. In the film, Enola travels to London to find her missing mother but ends up on a thrilling adventure, pairing up with a runaway lord as they attempt to solve a mystery that threatens the entire country. In addition to Brown, the film also stars Sam Claflin, Henry Cavill, and Helena Bonham Carter.
