Dear Strawberry Community member:

At the conclusion of the County of Marin’s hearing on the Strawberry PDA in late February, I highlighted my hope to initiate a community vision process for Strawberry. I see this process as a valuable chance for all of us to come together for a broad and inclusive community conversation that will result in a vision statement that illuminates and helps give direction to Strawberry’s future.

Strawberry is a wonderful community. With all of the recent community conversations about its needs and desires, it is a good time to understand where we are now and where we’d like to be in the future.

To get things started, I am looking for a small number of Strawberry residents to help plan this vision process with me. If you are interested in participating in this small planning group, please send me your name, the number of years you’ve lived in Strawberry, contact information (name, mailing address, e-mail and phone number) and a short paragraph stating the reasons for your interest and the skills you’d bring to the process. I’d like to arrange a couple of meetings of the vision planning group over the summer.  This group will plan the wider community conversation to be held in September.

If you are not interested in joining the small planning group, but do want to participate in the wider community conversation in September, please also let me know by sending a note to my Aide, Maureen Parton at mparton@marincounty.org.

Many thanks for considering joining the planning effort and the wider community conversation. Please feel welcome to share this message with others in Strawberry who may wish to get involved.

Sincerely,
