Public Hearing for Proposed 2013 Summer Service Improvements
April 22, 2013 In August of 2013, Marin Transit is proposing significant service improvements on many local routes operating within Marin County. These changes are the result of the Novato and Tiburon Transit Needs Assessment studies and the opening of Target in San Rafael.
Replace Route 51 in Novato with Route 251
Extend Route 257 and Route 259 into Novato
Replace Route 19 in Tiburon with Route 219 / 219F
Extend Route 23 east of the San Rafael Transit Center (SRTC) to serve the Canal and Target
Replace Route 29 weekend service with Route 28
Restructure Route 17 and Route 22 in South County

Public Hearing for Proposed Title VI Policies
April 22, 2013
A public hearing will be held before the Marin County Transit District (Marin Transit) Board of Directors on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:00 am to consider and adopt policies required under Federal Transit Administration Title VI guidelines issued on October 1, 2012. The public hearing will take place in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers, Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, Room 330, San Rafael.
The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to have public discussion on the proposed Title VI policy prior to potential adoption by the Board of Directors, subject to any modifications they may direct as a result of the public hearing. Click here to learn more about the proposed policy. The revised policy will be ready for distribution on or before May 17th, in advance of the May 20th public hearing.
Title VI: Marin Transit is required to develop a Title VI program that complies with the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Circular FTAC 4702.1B dated October 1, 2012 and ensures the fair dispersal of facilities and transit services throughout the service area.
