Dear Neighbors,

As I complete year one of my first term as County Supervisor, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for putting your trust in me and electing me into office. At the beginning of 2023, I shared the importance of addressing climate change, housing, homelessness, transportation, criminal justice and behavioral health, and the economy. The goal is to ensure that Marin continues to be a wonderful and welcoming place for everyone.

As public servants, I believe it is our responsibility to ensure we are good stewards of county resources, that we remain accountable and accessible to residents, and that we approach the work with humility and a passion to serve our community. I’m proud to represent the County of Marin.

The Board of Supervisors serves as the legislative and executive branch of County government. This has been a busy year for all of us and I would like to share with you the first annual District 1 impact report. This report serves as a snapshot of our work and takes a data-driven approach to ensure we remain accountable to you, the voters.

I want to thank the community, County staff, and the dedicated volunteers throughout Marin who work alongside us to improve our community. I want to extend a special thanks to Dr. Benita McLarin, Director of Health and Human Services, and Matthew Hymel, County Executive, for their distinguished service to Marin County.

Our work in the community can't happen without you. I look forward to working with you to pave a better future for all in Marin.
