Long COVID & Diabetes

A recently published review has revealed a clear association between COVID-19 infection and diabetes risk. Across multiple studies, people infected with COVID-19 were found to have higher risk for new onset diabetes after infection. Those who are up to date with vaccines and who receive treatment are at lower risk for the development of severe long COVID outcomes.

Marin COVID Level is Medium

Based on local wastewater, sampling, and local hospitalization rates, Marin County Covid level remains medium, or yellow. While virus levels continue to decline and are close to the threshold for Low community level, transmission is still common in our community. Those at highest risk should remain up to date with vaccines and receive treatment for infection.
