District 5 Update

Email and Newsletter 2020

I want to thank you for your comments and input about the Housing Element. It is a very complex issue, mandated by the state, and I appreciated hearing from many of you.

The environmental review process is underway. The environmental review will examine how traffic, schools, quality of life, and environmental hazards might be affected by any proposed housing development. A draft of the environmental impact report (EIR) will be made public and open for comment late this summer.

Based on feedback received leading up to and at our April 12, 2022 joint meeting of the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission, an updated recommended list of sites has been added to our website. Please know that this is not the final list of sites. The final sites will be brought forward after the environmental review process, which will include public comment.

I want to let you know about some upcoming events and programs happening this month. Please share them with your networks too!
