District 4 Office Hours

My office is gearing up for another season of District 4 Office Hours. These virtual community meetings are a great opportunity for you and your neighbors to communicate with me on issues important to you. This season, depending on the community I will be inviting guests from County Departments or subject matter experts to discuss topics/projects related to your community.  Click here to view the Office Hours tab on my County website. Feel free to download the fliers and share with your neighbors and friends. My office hours are open to all and hope to see many of you there.

*Fliers can downloaded by clicking the community of interest.

Draft Single Use Plastics Ordinance Seeks Your Input

My office has partnered with the County of Marin’s sustainability team to develop a draft Reusable Foodware Ordinance, which builds on the County’s polystyrene packaging ban. The ordinance would require food vendors (restaurants, cafes, food trucks, etc.) to use compostable foodware for takeout, reusable foodware for dine-in, a $0.25 cup charge for disposable cups, and foodware accessories to be provided only upon request.

We are seeking your feedback to meet the needs and concerns of businesses while responding to the public’s call to reduce plastic and disposable waste. To collect your feedback, we have developed a short survey and will be hosting a virtual business workshop meeting on September 15, 2021, from 3:00pm-4:00pm open to all food vendors in the County.  Zoom Details: Meeting ID 871 2734 0754, Password 547 411

Click here to answer a short 3-minute survey to provide your input and help guide the process. For more information please contact Dana Armanino at DArmanino@marincounty.org or (415) 473-3292.

Online Session Addressing Housing & Climate Change

Our Marin Community Development Agency is preparing to update a long-term plan to meet the housing needs and plan for public safety in the unincorporated areas of the county. Your feedback is a key component to developing this plan. The first opportunity to do so is on September 22nd, click this link to register for the session. Questions and comments can be sent to Jillian Zeiger at JZeiger@marincounty.org or (415) 473-6269.
