Dear District 4 Resident:

Wishing you and your family a restful holiday season. Our celebrations will look different this year due to our current COVID-19 surge. Please remember to continue to adhere to our local health and safety guidelines to protect you and your family during this festive season. If possible, avoid any out of county travel and enjoy what Marin has to offer from the comfort of your home. This is the perfect time to order take out from your favorite local restaurants, shop at local retail establishments, and hike all over our precious Marin County trails.

There is light at the end of the tunnel as the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines make their way into our county. The first round of doses will be reserved for health care workers, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, first responders, and residents of long-term care facilities for older adults and the medically vulnerable. In the coming months, the vaccine will be available to our broader community. Please visit our county’s vaccine webpage for more information.

Despite the challenges of this year, my office has continued to work full-time on virtual platforms. We have successfully completed the fall series of our community office hours and continue to meet daily with residents, community leaders, and county staff to work on our district’s most challenging issues.  You can visit my webpage to read some of my office’s accomplishments, projects, and priorities.

We are all looking forward to 2021. Next year I will assume the responsibilities of President of the Board of Supervisors and will be joined by a new colleague on the Board of Supervisors, Stephanie Moulton-Peters. I invite you to join us at our first meeting of the year on January 5th, 2021, and we hope you make your participation a habit. Please visit our webpage for instructions on how to participate and the meeting calendar for the year.

Lastly, I want to thank our frontline workers, health care providers, first responders, teachers, and our residents for their commitment to serving our community and taking care of our most vulnerable.  The commitment to our community is inspiring, I have witnessed us come together to break down barriers to help the most in need. Thank you.
