As we close out the week, wanting to express my appreciation for the many folks in our county who have carried the torch, done the important work to address equity and health in our county for years. Social health and public health are inextricably tied as told by Dr. Matt Willis in this video. Please take a minute to watch.

On Reopening…additional sectors, same need for precaution

A host of additional business/activities have been given the green light by the Marin County public health officer including outdoor faith services and cultural ceremonies, outdoor organized classes, dog parks, charter boating, and limited use of outdoor swimming pools. I’d like to make note that with regards to religious/faith services, even though they will be required to be held outdoors, the public health officer strongly encourages virtual ceremonies especially for members with compromised immune systems or other health concerns. Go to the Marin Recovers Reopening Status page for a recap of all that’s been opened to date, links to public health guidance and protocols for those businesses and activities, and what lies ahead. You can also read today’s press release. Additionally, click here for the latest on the status of parks and recreation facilities across Marin County.
